Earth the Huge Bowl

Did you know?
It was believed by Hindus of India in the Pre-historic era that the Earth was a huge bowl (to keep the oceans from falling off) held up by giant elephants standing on long pillars. 
No one back then even thought to ask what the pillars were standing on!
